George F. Hahnen, 78, of 1722 Twenty-third St., died Friday noon at his home. Death was caused by cancer. He had been ill 20 months.
Services will be at 1:30 p.m. at Dunn's funeral home. Burial will be at Masonic cemetery.
A lifetime resident of Des Moines, Mr. Hahnen was employed at the Capital City Printing Co. He was the last of the charter members of Local No. 84 of the Engravers union.
Mr. Hahnen was a member of First Baptist church and served on its board of deacons for many years. He was a member of the Fellowship class there.

Moved to Des Moines from Baltimore, MD in September of 1959 and lived at 1057 37th for 8 months until her move to Wesley Acres.
